The development of policies that govern a country is much more complete than it seems. The State has a responsibility to its population to maintain order and control, as well as guarantee economic development and other important aspects, such as health and education.

Furthermore, it is also the State's duty to ensure that employees are protected. After all, we know that the interests of an employee and an employer are often different. Therefore, there must be instruments based on the law so that these employees are protected.

The PIS (Social Integration Program) is much more than a number added to documents. It is through PIS that private sector employees are able to access benefits that are pre-determined by law. Furthermore, it is possible to collaborate with the development of companies in that specific sector.

PIS is based on Complementary Law nº7/1970. The initial objective of PIS was to guarantee the integration of private sector employees into the development of the company to which they are linked. Until then, Caixa Econômica Federal is the financial institution responsible for paying PIS.

What is PASEP?

PASEP was developed in parallel with the creation of PIS. PASEP is based on Complementary Law No. 26, of September 11, 1975. However, it only came into force on July 1, 1976. At the time, it was regulated by decree No. 78,276/1976. However, today it is regulated by decree nº 4,751, of June 17, 2003.

Withdrawal of PIS/PASEP amount

If you are reading this article, then you are probably interested in withdrawing your PIS/PASEP. Therefore, let's answer some questions that may be relevant, such as in relation to the amount you will receive and how long you need to be working to access the benefit. Furthermore, we will show you how to check the value.

First, you need to understand that the amount depends on the period of the year in which you worked as an employee under the CLT regime. For these work activities, the citizen who receives, as a reward for work, a minimum wage and performed his/her role for 12 months of that year, will accumulate a benefit of R$ 1,212.00.

However, you do not necessarily need to have worked 12 months to be able to have a balance in your PIS/PASEP. After all, you can only have worked for one month and have the amount for the month you worked. Therefore, you will need to check how much balance you have.

The payment schedule is one of the most sought after items by benefit recipients. After all, we need to know when we will have access to the values so that we can plan financially. This is a great strategy and should be adopted by everyone who receives benefit amounts.

As usual in other benefits, PIS/PASEP amounts will be available according to the individuals' date of birth. In other words, all beneficiaries born in January will receive the amount on the same date. This is a way of organizing income distribution. So, check out the calendar below:

  • January – 02/08/2022
  • February – 02/10/2022
  • March – 02/15/2022
  • April – 02/17/2022
  • May – 02/22/2022
  • June – 02/24/2022
  • July – 03/15/2022
  • August – 03/17/2022
  • September – 03/22/2022
  • October – 03/24/2022
  • November – 03/29/2022
  • December – 03/31/2022

Again, it is important to highlight that the logic of the calendar set out above is as follows: first the 12 months of the year are listed. Therefore, you will identify which month you were born. If you were born in August, for example, then you will have the chance to withdraw from 03/17/2022. In other words, the dates in front of the months are when the amount will be released.
